Description

Westbound on Main at 10th, bicyclist (me) stops at red light in the bike lane and on the "wait here for green signal" bike marking. Pickup truck (Chevy/GM, Virginia license plate JJD-2990) pulls up behind cyclist to the right of the travel lane, clearly hoping to turn right. (This is not a right-turn lane.)

After a few seconds, driver honks. Light is still red, so cyclist cannot proceed. Cyclist turns around, and driver's gestures indicate that he would indeed like to turn right without waiting five freaking seconds. Cyclist shouts that it's not a turn lane and continues waiting until light turns green.
