Description
Pedestrian walking westbound on W Main sidewalk, north side, at 9th. Bicyclist heading westbound on W Main in bike lane (next to curb due to construction). Pedestrian steps into bike lane at crosswalk on west side of 9th (crosswalk that has been painted out, not the one that has been enhanced), and does so before turning head to check for traffic. Bicyclist is in intersection with no ability to stop in time. Bicyclist says "whoa" to alert pedestrian and then says (stupidly) "sorry," and pedestrian yells something.
Pedestrian catches up to bicyclist at red light at 10th St and yells: "I ride too! I would have stopped for you!" Both are self-righteous. Both think they were right. Do two self-righteouses make a wrong? Should the crosswalk be marked?
