Description
I commute from Ridge Street to 29N for work and have fairly consistent problems crossing where Hydraulic meets 250. Cars rarely stop at the crosswalk when exiting westbound 250 to connect to Hydraulic. I usually have to wait for a break in traffic. Occassionally a car will stop and wave me across and I am always shocked and delighted. I don't normally have trouble crossing the second (primary) crosswalk because I am able to follow the street light pattern, but on 10-8-13 I was forced out of the crosswalk by a car that decided it was going to try to take a right on red. Luckily I was paying attention and was able to avoid the car which caused me to ride smack dab into the curb. I did not get his license plate number because I was frazzled (this being my first near-accident where I thrown from my bike). He waved at me from in the car and mouthed "I'm sorry" which I guess was better than nothing. No major injuries to myself or my bike.
